Hi Guys, Does anyone remember a game this season where we scored directly from a corner but it was disallowed? I seem to remeber being at the match and it was down the north stand end but can't for the life of remember when or who it was against. Got a feeling it was disallowed becuase it didn't touch another player on the way in.
Welcome atrose81, do not recall the incident you are talking about, however am fairly sure when taking a corner the ball does not have to touch anyone, so you can score direct. If it happened as you said, the referee possibly made a mistake, more likely it was disallowed for pushing.
Big al I'm sure you can be offside from a gk. A corner you certainly can score directly. a throw in you can't. You can't be offside from a throw in...
if that's the case why on earth don't we cram the attackers into the opponent's box and have our keeper whack it?
