Evening. Dirk Kuyt has today signed an one-year extension to his contract taking him to 2013. I believe that this is good news because he has been excellent lately. He's scored 11 goals in all competitions this season and has been crucial this season with some important goals against the likes of Manchester United and Sunderland. Thoughts?
I reckon thats some good business; by 2013 I estimate he'll probably be just about ending his career/moving back to Holland, so we will have got his best years and he will always be remembered as the hard working second striker!
Yeah that's good news. I dunno why some people slate him?.. He is a true professional and a great player, hopefully his hard working attitude will rub off on some of the players we have coming through or new ones we buy over the summer. Well deserved Dirk
He's up with Sami Hyypia and Jari Litmanen when it comes to model professionalism. He'll be a great role model for Andy Carroll to look up to.I'm delighted that he's got his new deal,he deserves it.He's actually benefitting from having Suarez in the team,Suarez pulls wide and he comes inside and gets in the space. The understanding these two have already is wonderful. Its a credit to both.
Yeah thats a good point regarding Suarez.. you can tell they have a good relationship with each other on and off the pitch.
Both have the same energy levels.Okay Suarez has more skill, but the way they link up is wonderful. Both are real handfuls.
Excellent news. I read a piece that Kenny has said he thinks Reina will stay, too. Whether he's just speculating or speaking from an informed viewpoint wasn't made clear but such speculation is not usually in Dalglish's locker.
