The club is utterly directionless and the team passionless. I really feel for the meagre crowd that attended tonight. Tan's man hasn't got a ****ing clue from what I saw on the box tonight. Anyone honestly kidding themselves that City can still finish in the top 6 is an eternal optimist. It all could have been so different if Tan wasn't such a bitter stubborn twat.

I firmly believe the players should refund the admission money to the home fans. Gutless performance, poor man marking led to a soft goal. No way are we a playoff team, mid table mediocraty at best.

Kennedy came on and looked a threat. Then to keep his 442 Slade puts him to right back.<doh>

Do not give him any funds.

    SLADE OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why pick fringe players who know their time at the club is limited? Better to have given some of the youngsters a chance. Oh hang on the clubs policy towards the youth coming through seems to be the same as the attitude towards maintaining the condition of the pitch. No leadership on or off the field.

This is a team with no shape no tactics and no guts.
    The manager is completely clueless.
The worst part of that performance is that it didn't seem to hurt the players one little bit.

The only way forward is try to sell as many as possible as soon as possible and start again with players that want to wear that shirt.

That lot tonight were a disgrace.

I've been following the city since the early sixties, even though I am still in my forties, and I can remember similar times over the years at Ninian Park. I would definitely love to shake off this " in the blood" thing, and get on with my life...difficult though! Never do I want to see Revell, Macheda and Whittingham play for us again...move on!
Slade took the job knowing the situation, he is probably well paid, but that performance was typical of what he believes the customer will pay to see! Well is it punk...is it? :emoticon-0103-cool:

The 11 who started tonight have scored 4 league goals this season and our left back had 2 of them.

Our 2 "strikers", and I use that word advisedly as they have no league goals this season, have both been told they can find another club. And we expect them to win the game for us? I'm not overly critical of Revell as he runs his heart out for the team but couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo in the penalty area. He was totally knackered when he came off. And Macheda?????

One of our centre backs tonight has said he wants out if he can't have game time. On tonight's performance I've started a collection for his plane fare back to Bucharest.

Many on here have said that Manga is one of our best players. How come he gets out muscled and caught with the ball so often and his heading ability is not great unless you count letting the ball skim backwards off the top of his head as great? One decent chance on his head and he puts it wide. Please get fit and come back soon Sean Morrison. You are rarely beaten in the air and a real threat at set pieces.

As Hilts said, Kennedy comes on, has 10 minutes in his normal position then gets shoved to right back. That is a real message for him when we had another full back on the bench. How must Declan John feel?

Whittingham? What is he for? Looked totally disinterested from the outset and played the whole game that way. His kit won't need washing.

Who was captain tonight? Did we have one?

Many say we have a good squad of quality players. We play 7 of our back ups and lose at home to an average (just about) first division team who lost 7 - 1 a week ago.

To those who say we have a good squad, take a good hard look at yourselves and answer that question again.

What a waste of 3 1/2 hours of my time today and the £5 to get in. Songs of Praise and Country File would have been more interesting.

Cup half empty? There's nothing in it, it's been through the dishwasher, hand dried and put back on the shelf.

Yours, totally pissed off of Bridgend!!!!

Some observations from last nights limp exit from the cup.

    1. What better chance to give John, Oshalaja and Kennedy a start?
    2. Tamas' debut is up there with the worst ever City debut's
    3. Manga is quite simply overrated
    4. Whittingham should never again be first choice for a league fixture
    5. O'Keefe demonstrated why he has not got into the first team
    6. Revell's display was suited to Pontcanna Fields saturday football
    7. Ameobi should really go back to Newcastle
    8. Even McNaughton could cross better than Malone
    9. Did Mason come on? If so I didn't see him.
    10. Kennedy did more in 10 minutes than Whittingham did in 90 before he was shifted to left back (? - why not bring on John and push Malone/Manga/Tamas over there?)
    11. Shrewsbury lost 7-1 last week didn't they?
    12. The pitch was atrocious but that is no excuse.
    13. Russ and his band of brothers have to go.

The only good thing is that perhaps none of those starting tonight will be playing at Hull on Wednesday. Hopefully not.

Why on earth play Revell and Macheda when they've been told they're on their way? Ludicrous decision on the playing front when you're trying to build some continuity in the side, and it also lessens any value (small as it might be) by cup tieing them for any interested clubs this year.

Don't tell me Mason shouldn't have started after his recent bench sitting or that Watt should have had an hour as well. Also please don't tell my they were tired and needed a rest. Bloody hell, these are professional football players and some game time together would only benefit them for the Hull game. We're supposed to be trying to forge a partnership up front and that was an ideal chance rather than playing two players about to leave the club - unbelievable!

This is yet another case of extremely poor football management at the club and things just have to change - and the quicker the better.

    One other thing (amongst many).

I've been advocating bringing Whitts back into a 5 man midfield recently but on that display he should be another one for the rubbish bin. His whole game was spectacularly poor and appears to have completely lost his undoubted talents. Time to let Forest have him.

Whits was the biggest disappointment for me. We dominated possession against a rubbish side, he had loads of time and was under little pressure. He produced absolutely **** all and proved Slade is probably flattering him by allowing him to keep a spot on the bench.
Kennedy to right back proved everything that is wrong about the Slade/Trollope set up. 15 mins to go in a knock out cup, go 3 at the back and pile the pressure on. Not our tactical team! Move the only player who's looked a threat (in the 5 mins he's been on the pitch) to ****ing right back.

Agree with Nin about Tamas, has the bloke ever played Centre back before? He'd have been subbed playing Sunday league for his 'positional' sense.

"Watt should have had an hour as well".

Valid point Sparks but as we have not stumped up the cash for Watt yet, it may be that Charlton wouldn't let him play in case we didn't sign him permanently and another club still in the cup became interested.

Very valid about tying up our 2 "vaunted" strikers. Total incompetence by Slade, AGAIN.

As for Tamas, super tankers in the channel can turn more quickly than him. Taxi for Tamas - but give it a few minutes for him to get there.

Unfortunately, given their transfer embargo we couldn't even give him to them.

A shame how far he has fallen.

Fabio was the pick of the bunch but looks to have picked up a hammy. The pitch was a disgrace.
