Unless they're completely ****ing mental, they'll give it to Curbishley.

Why, OLM? As a player, Bruce was characterized as "an honest trier who made the absolute most of limited natural ability" according to no less than authority than Wikipedia. He's also a published author, you know.

He's also an irritating dinner lady who's not a very good manager, I can't believe they're even considering him.

It's the second half of the season - you remember how his Charlton team always dropped down the league after Christmas? <laugh>

Bruce's image and reputation far exceed his actual achievements. So Curbishley then.

it wont matter. Wolvers are going down. They might as well give it to the Tea Lady or kit man and save themselves some money.

We don't know who's going down. The promoted clubs always start well and tail off this time of year. Swansea and Norwich are still doing well but I'll be surprised if they keep it up all season, it will come down to the last couple of games I'm sure.

Norwich on 35 points, Swansea on 30 points, they should be safe but whether they'll both in the top half at the end of the season is debatable. With a 7 point gap between QPR in 16th and Villa in 15th it's looking more and more like it will be 3 teams from The Dramas, Wolves, Blackburn, Bolton and Wigan going down. 7 points can be overhauled but I can't see Villa, Fulham, West Brom etc getting dragged into it. As for the aforementioned quintet, hard to pinpoint one which is certain for the drop.

I'd rather see QPR, Blackburn and Wigan down but I reckon it'll be Wolves, Wigan and God knows who else.

If the directors of football clubs keep employing the non-starters like Bruce, Ince, Megson and Dowie, Etc, you can never forecast who they will choose.

I saw Bruces wiki page the other day and under current job it said 'stay away from Wolves!' I was listening to the radio last night and they had David O' Leary on, funny how he has faded away from being linked with jobs like this.

According to Vitalwolves, Bruce has turned the job down, as he was only offered it until the end of the season.

If it's true he has turned it down it will be because he can't piss a load of money away until summer.
I would doubt that Wolves would have enough money anyway, to satisfy pan faces desire to blow as much as he possibly can, without actually gaining any benefit from such spending.
I agree with Oregon Tiger that Bruce's image and reputation far exceed his actual achievements.

Tbh Megson has hardly done a bad job at Sheff Wed.....

I don't get the criticism of Steve Bruce, he always signs good players fairly cheapish, the squad he assembled at Wigan was very good, so its clear he can pick a good player. So he is not that bad, just his tactics at time are lacking and very inconsistent.

He signed some fairly expensive players for Sunderland and made them look mediocre, the fact that the new manager made the same team look like world beaters says it all.

I agree thats why i said tactically he is very inconsistent, at Birmingham, Wigan and Sunderland he has assembled and signed some very good players, so he clearly has some ability. However i agree at times tactically he is lacking, but he is not THAT bad, there are some far worse managers out there.

I can't stand the bloke(I'm not really sure why), but I'd accept he can spot a decent player, he just seems to lack the ability to use them once signed.

Nigel Pearson should walk out of Leicester and take half the squad with him.. that'd be a laugh..
