I am now watching each team who are currently in the playoffs and trying to predict their final position. Exactly the same when we were in the pL and the Championship. I can remember doing this for a lot of years in the last months of the season. Only difference is we are near the top and not the bottom. I am enjoying the games but the dread is still there. I still think we could win the playoffs if we don, t make the top two but I am still concerned. If we don't go up I think we will walk it next season, but I think the disappointment will be as bad as relegation from the Championship this time around.
If we didn't make it, I don't think the despair will be as bad as the last playoff, we've got so much to look forward to now with the new ownership. I said months ago I'd settle for another season in this league as long as Donald and Co had fcuked off. Hopefully though, we will be back to derby days next season.
There's no doubt there will be huge disappointment if we don't go up marra, and I don't think any of us wants the play-offs,particularly if we end up playing Portsmouth or Charlton. We have it in our own hands to go up automatically,if we win all our matches we're champions. I'm not contemplating another season in this division. All our skill, our organisation, our work rate, our desire to win,our coaching has to come together in these last 8 matches. Great avatar btw....Slim Jim a particular hero of mine in my early days at Roker.
One of my very first autograph. I was over the moon as he shared the same surname. No relation though.
