Story of Col Donaldson; yes I had difficulty remembering him too.

We bought him as a youngster to build towards a future CD.
But then came promotion and Harry Redknap and he realised he had nowhere to go. He had no promotion through the ranks, he let himself go and only now rebuilding his career in Scotland

I hope there is a now a difference, kids come to us because they see Eze, BOS, Chair, Manning and think that they can progress. What would happen if we did get promotion. I hope/think with Warburton, it would not be like the last time

I remember when he signed he was touted as something special but just never seemed to get a chance. I'd hope if we're fortunate to sign such potential now we can actually help such players fulfil it, we haven't done too bad lately...

As I've had it explained to me Beth, part of Brentford's success is players recognising they will not only get a fair chance but will be released to the PL too in due course. How that will work if they themselves get to the PL will be interesting.
