Dietmar Hamann is set to take over at Stockport County. The club has recently been taken over by a Liverpool-based consortium headed by the businessman, Tony Evans. Hamann is set to be given a one-year contract at Edgeley Park replacing Ray Mathias who is considering whether to remain at the club. I wish Dietmar all the very best in his first managerial job.
Chris. As you're well awqare, Didi is a legend. However, he's not ready for us yet. He needs to get a lot more experience in lower leagues. This is just part of his preparation - fear not!
As much as I would love to see him back in with us ( same with hyypia), he needs to get his feet wet. My sentiments exactly. You learn a lot as a coach, good on him and hopefully he does well.
