Er in doors has just finished watching a Channel 4 programme about diets and weight loss. Now she's bending my ear about how many calories there are in everything she's eaten today FFS. I think she's upset cos I told her to move more and eat less. Apparently ironing for an hour uses 480 calories. Boring bastard. Anyone on here embarked on any type of diet. She's even downloaded an App. I've just been informed that I am slimming aswell...............like ****.

Best way to lose weight is walking for an hour and a half non stop each day and keep doing it, forever basically. No gym fees and fresh air, also no injuries unless you walk in your bare feet or something like Zola Budd

    It's not rocket science mate.

One bottle of red per night instead of two.

Chicken bab instead of donner bab and brown bread instead of white.

Piff, paff, puff, six pack and pecks.

started one today. you have a first day cleansing day so basically you drink water and some evil concoctions and can not eat before 7pm. then its chicken and veg, which I do not mind. but no latte, chocolate, cake or biscuits etc. not a weightloss but a fat loss which I will try as the boxing is going very well having lost over 20lbs however the old fat around the tummy is proving to be very stubborn to leave. on the boxing note has anyone here done the white collar boxing bout and if so what were your experiences.

I lost three stone in eight months using the Pancreas Failure Diet, I'm not sure I'd recommend it though.

I did the whip for several white collar nights.

    http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/2032298.hampshires_very_own_fight_club/

I worked for the promoter and got roped in. The one thing that stood out for me was how the boxers would all lose concentration at different points during the bouts. Most would be fine and controlled for the first couple of minutes and then they would start to tire. Technique would go out of the window. I always got the impression that the one who was focused on the fight when he gloved up and went to the ring, would start on top. With the pro boxers you could not tell the difference between them, but the white collar boxers who waved at their families and friends on the way in, generally lost the first round. They would catch up, but burn out quicker. The third round would normally be a slogging match, but with more slapping than punching. I could never box, I lack the discipline and the few fights I had in the Army, I would not stop for the referee or when the round finished.
The white collar nights were good fun, but only one of the lads came back for another go as far as I can remember. The gym went pro after that and we stopped doing them.
    Good luck with your fight.

My life was never actually in danger, it was deeply unpleasant and I did end up on morphine in HRI for a while, but it was caught long before if was life threatening. I've no problem now, other than the irritation of only being able to drink alcohol occasionally (when you're used to drinking every day, stopping drinking completely really takes some getting used to), but I've had no attack for over six months now, I'm on top of it.

My busiest time of the year is Jan/Feb then it all falls by the wayside! Just like the smoothie makers gathering dust in your cupboards!

That's a lot of weight to lose. My father in law suffered from pancreas problems and it almost killed him. Any chance of tickets for Cardiff

My wife started on one exactly a week ago and I have joined her simply because its far easier with regard to meal preparation. She is within the high BMI limit for her stature but has decided to lose 8kgs using a diet she last used 10 years ago when she lost a similar amount.

Then it took about 10 weeks to reach her target-it involves drinking at least 3 litres of water a day and denying herself two daily delights- coffee and wine drinking. No problem for me as I drink neither.
She is off to a great start losing 2 kgs in a week.

I joined her on that diet 10 years ago, lost 7kgs and was able to wear all my 70's gear again!

I'll probably opt out after dropping 4-5 kgs.

Always been fit and active but over the past couple of years i've struggled with injuries and i'm off for my 2nd lot of minor surgery in 18 months at the end of this month. As a result I was heavier than I had been before by about a stone, on the diet side I made two seemingly minor changes which have actually had a big impact.

First up, instead of eating breakfast at home with wife and child at like 7 7.30 I eat breakfast at my desk at work, as I am right now. I've found that this stops me snacking during the morning as i'm not hungry til lunch time.
Second, me and the wife have started eating our dinner with the little one at 5.30/6.00 rather than after he's gone to bed (8ish) again, this means i'm not snacking when I get home.
Basically these two changes are cutting out 2 snacks a day, 400-500 calories or so. Makes a hell of a difference

Not done white collar, but i've been boxing since the end of August and ****ing love it, injury problems with my knees are pretty much going to force an early retirement for me and footy, but I don't have any problems with my knees boxing. Only done body sparring rather than full sparing so far, 3 mins of sparring is ****ing hard work! Weight will fall off as long as you dont go stupid with your diet.
