http://www.skysports.com/football/n...am-prodigy-is-getting-back-on-track-in-Cyprus So the witch and Belgian bastard tried to sign him on a long term deal for buttons. If Diego had stayed then 12 months later he could well have been worth £5-6million perhaps more.... but no.... the Belgians tried to sign him on a cheap contract.... says it all about the Belgians professionalism. PS. Billy and I used to watch Diego a lot in the U18's.... he never gave less that 100% even though he was marked out as a star in the making from an early age. AllHell
Good to see Diego enjoying his football again. His mental strength has certainly been tested. "Elvis" is a good man to be playing under. The common perception that he turned his back on us because of stars in his eyes is contradicted by his account, which ties in with the poisonous influence of the Belgians, who should never have entered football anywhere.
Steve Avery revealed at the CASTrust meeting that not only had he advised him to stay, so did his Dad.
I was gutted when he left, but the impression given is that he is another Tony Watt, who chased the money and irreparably damaged his career. Will Diego Poyet créate a funny online blog about movies too?
No idea why Wet Spam wanted him in the first place. He was never big enough to be a Big Sam player, which BS proved by buying Song just afterwards. You could contrast his headstrong attitude with that of Gomez, who chose the Liverpool option because he took good advice that he could get into the first team. But you don't want to see an 18-year-old throw his career down the pan like, say, Sean McGinty, and since Poyet has come crashing back to earth he appears to be rebuilding his career. This could either go the way of TWWW or Harry Arter.
