    From the Daily Fail

The Magpies, meanwhile, are planning a £6m swoop for Sevilla's Argentine midfielder Diego Perotti

He is a cracking player, he won't leave Seville to sign for us though.

reminds me too much of luque before he came.. good technique, not much aggression, power or speed about him which doesnt usually translate into good prem player... although ive just realised im talking absolute bollox because i just remembered a man called cesc fabregas

    you get my point though

Barton, Gutierrez, Ben Arfa... and Ireland can play on the wing aswell.

    Strikers are more important.

Edit: quality strikers I should say.

Top priorities are a left winger, striker and cover for Jose. Jonas had a blinder v Birmingham but he needs some competition. Shane Ferguson may come good but he needs a full season on loan in the Championship or League 1. Ben Arfa would be better suited to playing off a striker in my opinion rather than as a winger.

Quality striker - damn right. With Barton's delivery and the likes of Ben Arfa ready to return and cause havoc for defenders, a top striker would relish playing up front. Who that may be is anyone's guess. As long as it's not some turd like Carlton Cole.

A striker and a QUALITY box-to-box midfielder would do for me :)

Some good competition to keep Nolan on his feet would do good, personally apart from his goals and leadership his overall CM play is average at best, without Tiote doing all his work he'll be a Championship player.

  14. There always papers claiming we're going to "swoop" a player, or "newcastle blan an 8 mill quid bid for..."

Unless Pardew or the official NUFC site confirms it, i wont take it seriously, until i see him at SJP and in a Newcastle United strip.

For 6mil, he'd be an excellent purchase. Cracking player.
But, as Tash said, it's all just rumours.

Gonna have to deal with a lot of these for the next few months.
