Until I see it on the website I am never completely satisfied.

Well I know, but this proves that Costa himself is keen on the move.
And we met his buyout clause so Atletico cant do anything to stop it.

He would look very silly if he DIDNT sign for us after this interview

Would be a very good fit in a Mourinho team on paper.

Hope he plays better for us than he did for Spain against Holland. To be honest every time I watch him I expect to be impressed, but have not really been at all. Maybe Ive just not seen the right games, and in truth, Iv'e not seen many, but hes done little each time I watched. His record says hes a cracker, so looking forward to him banging them in for us.

If I am honest I have only really seen him play in the Holland game, as I dont watch Spanish football (mainly English, German and historically italian football, though not so much these days), as I find La Liga rather dull outside of El Classico.

But I cannot argue with the Stats, if he can perform anywhere near that level for us, we should be in for a treat. (and hopefully a trophy!<ok>)

I'm the same, seen him a few times and he's been very average. But like you say, he has a great record so hopefully he'll do well for us!

Not if his WC performance is anything to go by. Looks like he could be a mistake!

Yes, two games for Spain where they don't play around him should overshadow a title winning season at Atletico.

Costa fits Jose's playbook perfectly & Spain's more like Barca's - that doesn't suit him at all.

Both Madrid teams (and most impressive teams in the world cup) play Jose style; Costa will be just fine!!

    With a hamstring injury too.

God, you would think we would give the geezer a chance, seeing as we have given Torres 100 chances under four different managers: even his boyfriend Rafa who built the team around his game could not get him scoring (giving him lots of space to run into) in the Prem.

That might not be enough. Remember when we were taking pre-orders for Robinho football shirts......only to see him signing at City!! That little "error" was quickly removed from all official Chelsea sites!

For Christs sake, does everyone have to rejoice over everything the club does??? Did you see him last night against Chile?? he was subbed for the total log Torres !!!!!
Is this a forum for 5 year olds who can't think for themselves , and just follow the donkey in front???
All I said was I have not been impressed with Costa whenever Ive seen him. I even qualified that statement and wished him well, so what more do you want ??
Same again last night, or do you think he went well??????

Bit of a delayed response to my post! Which was only half serious mate, hence the Old Git picture.
No need to blow to a gasket!!
You dont have to rejoice, you just seem very negative about everything all the time. It doesnt particularly bother me, I was only havin a laugh bud! <ok>

No, we're supposed to give players a chance and stop judging them based on a dodgy world cup where he is still carrying an injury and doesn't suit the way Spain play. Lukaku was dogshit too but I don't see people having a pop at him.

If World Cups were anything to go by, El Hadj Diouf would've been the next Ronaldo.

Costa has been one of the best strikers in Europe over the past year and had a wonderful league campaign with Atletico. That is what I will be basing him on until he proves he can't do it in a Chelsea shirt.

    This.

Leave all the kneejerk, he is best - or worst - player in the world on the basis of one match to the television hype and tabloids.
