Torquay United midfielder Aman Verma is undergoing hospital tests after collapsing at home last week following a training session.
Verma, 27, hopes to find out the results next Monday, and will sit out Saturday's game against Chester.
"It might just be a virus that has hit him hard," Torquay manager Kevin Nicholson said. "But with all that's gone on lately in football with things like heart problems we couldn't take any chances."

Yeah, he was one of non league acquisitions that didn't really work out.
