Massively disappointed with the now 4-1 drubbing by TWS. Hope there isn't more to come.... Everytime Leeds come forward and everytime a ball gets pumped into the air in our box we are looking vulnerable - is this what we now have to expect from every team in the league! We've not scored yet - all Leeds goals - not a great night. Gulasci - Doesn't sound convincing although early days yet. and if that F8ckwit Burns says "and Leeds were at deaths door.." one more time i'm going to punch the wall. God we need to do well against the Palace at the KC on the weekend. Any of you Tigers who went to Bellend got some insight on what needs to be done?
The main problem is the style of play. Stop hoofing the ball long and play it on the floor. Why do we persist in launching long balls to our attcking players who are some of the smallest in the league?
I though Hobbs had a good few last games to the season, would agree definately with the comments about playing to feet - we CAN attack the opposition as we have some class players doing this. Theres no point banging it high in the air unless we have a good target man and formation to use that - we haven't had that for a few years now. Also the squad is nowhere near strong enough to last the season and I fear for when injuries hit us. Also on Blunderside - desist in calling for Bullard back - he is class when he can be bothered but he will never play for us again - I will eat my hat if he does! Hope Brady isn't injured for Saturday...
Too young Vunerable CB's, wont be nowhere as good without the character of Gerrard. On the plus side i still hate Leeds, even more so after tonight.
I keep telling you Gerard looked after Hobbs all last season (or when Hobbs arrived) , he was the reason for our solid defending (along with Ayala when he was here). Hobbs is shi te and proved it again tonight.
Went to the game, Gulasci was very poor i would rather have Dukey back.... at least he could catch. Leeds Goals : Goal 1: No defender marking the Leeds forward. Goal 2: Gulasci catches. drops the ****ing ball and half arsed clearence by Rosie, although he was trying not to smash Gulascis head and they score. Goal 3: good free kick by snodgrass, Gulasci positioned the wall way to far and then stood at the other end of the goal, so no way he could have got to it although he shouda been in the middle of his ****ing goal!, Goal 4: Rosie stretched out of position covering for Hobbs and the shot goes under Gulasci. In short we were ****ing ****e!! When mclean came on he was by far our best player. Pearson is pissing me off with his decision making, ok bring Brady off, he is injured fair enough. Then bring Koren off when he was having a good game.... and leaving Mckenna on who in my opinion is absolutely ****e, seen him in 3 games and not once has he impressed me, he gave the ball away more times than anyone on the pitch, is it a case of pearson trying to justify his signings? Sincerely one very pissed off Tiger!!
Went to the game also, tonight Fryatt really found his touch. His link up play was very good and was able to turn the defenders inside out.. the only problem was we were so deep he would beat one player and theres two more in the que to tackle him, he isnt messi.. If we had been more dominating in midfield then he may have been able to do his good work further up the pitch in and around their box.
I went to the game last night and stayed over in Leeds, woke up and walked out getting lots of stick from Leeds fans. It was bad enough the result and the performance but against our rivals? Our style of play was all wrong! We NEED a new keeper, i get nervous as soon as the ball gets in our half as chester and hobbs dont seem to be protecting him either. And upfront, misfiring fryatt, useless mclean and massive adebola cant find goals.
