OK confession time, I thought we'd get hammered so gave in and went shopping with the misus (she's been pestering for weeks..), what a bad decision that was!!! Anyway, obviously I didn't see the game, was well happy to be the only team to get a point at the etihad this season, but couldn't help be a little bit gutted when we conceded two in the last 5 minutes. However, I then checked the stats, and it seems Man City deserved the draw (or perhaps even a win...), so my question is, are the stats right, or did we deserve our lead? I will be watching motd but I'm sure it will just be man city's best bits + our goals, not really the full story....
Don't think they deserved a point mate. Wait till you see the dive for their penalty! Disgrace. That's 2 we're owed now by the refs! They puffed and puffed but never looked likely to score from any chances they had. 2 excellent strikes was all they really troubled mignolet with
The game is getting to stats conscious. They really don't mean much. The only important stat in any game is the final result.
We were the better team for 80 mins or so. Superb performance by all players today. With some better finishing and decision making we could have had 2-3 in the first 20 mins, before the dive.
