I've always thought that a top analyst could see behind the obvious (you know, league table position) and could make predictions based on more subtle factors, such as likely approach to games, managers and players mindsets, likely motivational areas and good old tactical awareness. So lets see how our "favourite" "expert" did when predicting the upsets in this weeks FA Cup shall we? (I class an upset as a game where a lower league club beats a team from any league above, or a lower league club manages an away draw against a club in a league above). The Upsets :- Brighton 2 Newcastle 0 (Lawro predict :- 1-1 (WRONG)) Fulham 1 Blackpool 1 (Lawro predict :- 2-0 (WRONG)) Luton 1 Wolves 0 (Lawro predict :- 1-2 (WRONG)) Macclesfield 2 Cardiff 1 (Lawro predict :- 0-2 (WRONG)) Sheffield Weds 0 MK Dons 0 (Lawro predict :- 2-1 (WRONG)) Wigan 1 Bournemouth 1 (Lawro predict :- 2-0 (WRONG)) Congratulations a full house! (OF WRONG RESULTS!) And did he predict any upsets himself? Old Mister Predictable clearly thought I better put in at least 2 so he went for :- Bolton 2 Sunderland 1 (actual result :- 2-2 (WRONG)) Crystal Palace 2 Stoke 1 (actual result :- 0-0 (WRONG)) oh, and lets just see how accurately he worked out Peterborough vs Norwich shall we :- Actual result :- P.boro 0 Canaries 3 (Lawro predict :- 1-1 (WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!) He's great isn't he! Put the tw*t out to the donkeys pasture now BBC and get some proper analysts!
He is incredibly bitter towards us after his embarassing prediction of us ending up in League 2, backfired spectacularly. Mind you, his reputation as a supertanker (i.e takes a half season to catch on to any actual trends) is about right...he recently said that we will be absolutely fine. News has evidently finally trickled though to his brain of our unbeaten run. What amuses me is his predictions for QPR and Liverpool, always miles out!
do you think when growing up he headed the ball too much and he is suffering from some sort of memory loss?
