Met Nat Jarvis at the Globe. He was on a high having scored the winner for Newport at Northwich the day before. They are in the semi final of the FA Trophy and face Wealdstone - just 1 game from Wembley.

Not against Northwich. My home town, and that of Alan Macanally as it happens (see him in the local and Tesco Express from time to time). Never been the same since they moved from the drill field (not that I ever went there). A load of houses and flats now. Shame!

Newport on the up though. Dragging themselves clear of relegation.

The most famous man there was our Gary

Well done on the match, great match and when Kuyt scored i thought you was dead and buried but came back again. On another day you may of won that as Liverpool was pretty poor and you missed some chances that should of been taken.

Good luck for the rest of the season <ok>

CCFCremote - it was against Northwich Victoria but played at Macclesfield as Northwich have lost their ground. By all accounts Newport were lucky to get the win having been pummelled by NV for most of the game.

I thought they were playing on a municipal field as it was! The drill field went years ago so I think they were sharing with Witton Albion and then a park field. Shame, always giant killers in the FA cup in my youth (admittedly that was a while ago).
