That showing of Mill Reef was very moving. Showing his fantastic wins, then seeing him hobbling along with his leg in plaster and then making public appearances. Horses are such loving animals and when they bring so much joy as well there is nothing better.
...err...no! Sorry mate but his time came; went and we move on! Nor will I cry if he Queen wins the Derby!
I'm just a sentimental git FB. I really liked Mill Reef and the year he won the Arc was the only time I seriously planned to go to support a runner in the race. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go. Re the Derby tomorrow, neither will I.
