make a mistake in going to Brighton? just 3 points off relegation places, still not all that bad they are a point better than City were after 8 last season!

Watching Ipswich v Wigan, Skuse has not scored for them since signing do you think he made a mistake leaving us?

He (Baldock) is probably on more money with Brighton so he is probably happy.

Bolasie certainly is - scoring against Everton on match of the day yesterday - being used on the LEFT.

If only we had used him there instead of as a sub for Albert.

We might have got a few more games out of him and a few more points but seriously, how much longer would he have stayed with us? A few months?

I often wondered if he was championship quality but here's another chance for him to test himself-To be honest when he went, it was an attractive proposition. Brighton had just missed the play offs and had good reason to feel that another good season was on- Time will tell.

A few seasons ago, City went up to the championship. Sean Goater went at Easter to Man City who subsequently went down- I asked myself the same question as this thread, Why would he want to swap championship for League 1-

Two seasons on, we were back in league 1 and Man City were in the Prem (before the big money came).

Agard is a better striker and will go on to better things than Baldock.

Enjoy him whilst he is here, the guy is a Andy Cole mark 11

In fairness to Baldock he didn't play a great deal of games for us in the championship compared to last season. He scored a few when he played and before his injury at West Ham he scored a few for them as well.
He took his time getting going with us last season and only came into a rich vein when Cotterill turned up. I think he will do ok with them once he gets going.

At the moment the championship and league 1 are similar..if you detract from knowing anything about football and were given the fixtures and the league positions you would see there is a long way to go before the real strong teams stand out!
Now I am not saying City is not a strong team, but by the last game of November when we have played 9 games against potentially top 9 teams = 27 points.... and can say well that was a hard earned 16 points ! will we know for sure.
At this time Teams like MKD Peterb Chstrfld PNE Bradfrd and Coventry will have had an "easy ride" whilst City Swindles and Orient will have played most of them! I would not be surprised to see us on

Plyd 19 with points 36 by the first game in December....................and maybe 3rd or fourth in the league

Wolves ran away with the league last year with Brentford in hot pursuit.
Sometimes it's best to be tucked in just behind the leaders rather than leading the division yourself. You are always there to be shot at when you're top of the pile.

The problem Brighton have is that the Championship is not a level playing field.

Despite generating the most revenue from their attendances (the highest average in that league last season) and their corporate stuff, they find it hard to compete with teams who have parachute payments (now for 4 years).

However I do expect Brighton to begin to move up the table.

But you could say that about any division

Derby/Forest/Wolves and the like will always have greater spending power than the Brentfords of this world
In our league City, Sheff Utd and Peterborough will usually significantly outspend the likes of Rochdale and Scunthorpe

Skuse and Baldock always tried their hardest for the team.

I've met Skuse in person and he genuinely is a very nice person.
