Only got to read it this lunchtime. Ridders sounded pissed off with us fans for daring to question the ginger one's motives. Apparently we don't realise how close we came to winding up and if the FL had known we'd be in admin this long in his opinion they would have pulled the plug.

So then do we have to take what is inflicted on us with a smile on our faces for the sake of saving our club? Are we not allowed to question his motives? I'm sorry but I may have to accept it but I don't have to be happy with it. Funny how they want our money but not our opinion, we mustn't rock the boat possibly undoing "the hardest job he has ever had to do".

    God help us!

He is forgetting one small point. He is right that we don't know because nobody has told us diddly squat all the way through this mess and anything we do know has been dragged screaming from those who do. He can posture all he wants but in the end he will need us just as much as we have needed them. You are right in that we don't have to be happy about any of it and if he thinks throwing a few toys around will placate the masses and make people grateful then he sadly misreads the situation. Owners have come and gone over the years but the ones who really own the club have stayed around. I am prepared to give him and the others whoever they are the benefit of the doubt only because I have little or no choice in the matter. I have paid my money down this season and that entitles me to say anything I want about Argyle. There is something in this deal for the purchasers or they would not be on the scene now. They are not going to throw that away now just because some people hurl a bit of abuse in their direction. Heaney has already proved how thick his skin is.

That dickhead is making the same mistake as all the grockles seem to make, because of the way we talk they think we are thick, and that is one thing we arn't down here, and we can spot a rip off merchant a mile off ...... all I can say is .... if you don't like it sod off Riddler cos we haven't even started yet ..... we are going to take our club back and thats a promise !

Gat it´s not the accent that makes us stoopid it´s the lack of brain cells and constantly pickling those few we have in cider <cheers>

Risdale is to fan/club relationship as myxoamatosis is to rabbits....A major Fcuk up as for that ginger little weasel he is obviously skint otherwise he would have had that bloody hair dyed and plastic surgery to open those beady looking eyes. Who the hell has kept us in admin this long? Not the fans FFS but these anonymous buyers and their public front the ginger ninja, now things may have caused post postponments,. awaiting other deal blah blah blah blah blah, but I will take one hell of a lot of convincing, plus a trip ice skating in Hell, to be convinced that Mr Peter ´poundshop´Risdale wasn´t in the admins ear from the off and pushing this deal above others.

They may well be all we have left but I wonder who backed us into that corner? Well if the fans come out fighting they don´t have to look far to see why, nearest mirror will do.

If you are walking through the zoo and a tiger escapes and rips your arm off...well your damn unlucky. However if you climb over the fence into the tiger compound, sneak up behind the tiger and flick it in the balls...you get what you bloody well deserve.

Here we are, me, who dislikes Ridsdale more than anyone, defending him.

He's telling you like it is people, you forget too easily where we were 6 months ago.

Much as we may love it, this club is NOT a hot property and we're bloody lucky to have survived [hopefully].

    Beggars can't be choosers.

I don't think you need to defend Ridsdale, Notdistant. I was prepared to give him the benefit of any minuscule amount of remaining doubt but I'm now convinced there is something definitely smelly about the deal and he does have considerable previous (allegedly). I wouldn't trust him to tell me the time, let alone 'tell it how it is'. I fear another ten-point deduction is being brewed up as I write...

Not forgetting where we where NDG just we are not in any better place at the moment are we? There were other options and I will never believe that this was the best option for the club.

Yes. Mexijan, it's hard to see how this was the best option when the staff remained unpaid and the main protagonists apparently remain anonymous.

To me it is simple. We the supporters are entitled to say whatever we want. We are the only way the club will ultimately survive if it is to do so. There is no way on this earth that we are going to frighten away these people just by complaining. They have already committed funds to the club and paid some of it. If they were to be frightened off or offended off they would lose several hundred thousand pounds for nothing. Get a grip Ridsdale is my answer. As long as enough people are complaining it means there are still people interested enough in the survival of Argyle. If nobody was saying anything then the silence would probably mean that everyone had gone away and would be unlikely to return. I am not saying this deal was second best or that the Administrator could have done better as I have no way of knowing either way. But, you don't attract customers by telling them to shut up and be grateful.

He has made a number of comments there because he is lost for an outlet for his love in with Argyle and has to comment somewhere. Sad little tosser that he is.

That's the trouble, people don't put this in perspective.

It now looks more likely than not that we'll start the season on Saturday. Six months ago, I wouldn't have given you even money that that would be the case.

Fans need to be thankful for small mercies.

Don't forget that there were three bids for Argyle, notdistant. We don't know the details or terms of any but the 'preferred bid' isn't looking too clever. I am still not convinced it will actually go ahead. Yes, we still have a club but we don't need to like the secrecy, obfuscation and delay. Also, our putative Chairman is yet to have his day in court! All in all, it has been an utter shambles.

We are going to have to agree to disagree on this one DG. We are entering the league yes but still in administration, staff unpaid, major doubts over the future, mysterious backers no one has seen hide nor hair of (sounds familiar), an obnoxious front man (familiar again) and fans feeling alienated. Do you honestly feel this is the best that we could have hoped for? I know it is the magical hindsight but if we had gone with Brent or Buttivant would we be in this situation? My personnal feeling is no. Are we any better of with Peter Poundshop, Heaney and Leprechaun Inc. than the last lot of clowns we had? There were alternatives at the start and I cannot see how this was the best for anyone involved. All said as long as the club survives is all that matters, it would be nice for once not to be left wth a nasty taste in the mouth in regards to the off field goings on though.

May I ask what Risdale has actually done for us besides whinge and moan ? We know that Sir Peter paid heating bills and the apprentices wages, we know that the staff have worked for nothing, the players haven't been paid and we the fans have raised thousands to keep the club afloat, how much has Risdale put in. does anyone know ?
