the merseyside masters last night? needless to say we won after taking apart owen coyles bolton in the final 5-1,but the best for me was when we beat everton by the same score in the group stage<whistle>.
john barnes though looked like a sumo wrestler <laugh>,but did you see that liverpool legend BJORN TORE KVARME,he was outstanding,<ok>,and we had stephane henchoz, paul walsh, patrick berger, paul jones in goal, andy roscoe, and mark wright,to take us to the final in london<nahnah>

I used to love Patrick Berger. When my son was growing up and just starting to support Liverpool (no persuasion from me of course) he christened him 'Hat-trick' Patrick berger after he scored hat=tricks in succesive seasons against Chelsea (I think). He was real quality with ahammer of a left foot.Watching on the masters still looked better than any left sided player we have now !!
Kvarme also looked good but never really rated him.

Do you remember the free-kick he scored against United.I can't remember which season it was,but it finished 1-1.They scored when Sami Hyypia went off for treatment.I think it was 1999/2000.In the 2000/2001 season ''The Treble season''.He scored a beauty against Derby, and took the shine off Heskeys hat-trick.
