    A tough decision for many.

However i would rather see Dickson in the team. I like his speed and agility and when he loses the ball or makes a mistake, he always chasses back and gives 100%. However his passing is woeful at times, but it can only improve.

    Who would you play ?

I think Harding can provide more attackingly, which i think is vital at this point in the season, where we need goals. However, his defending can be poor occasionally. I don't think we've seen enough of Dickson this season but he didn't look bad last night.

I personally would choose Harding, i think people give him less than he deserves credit for. In some games, i think he has been one of the best players on the pitch at times.

I would pick dickson after yesterdays performance,i had him as my man of the match.I actually disagree about his passing as i thought that was one of the better things he does over harding, feel harding plays too many stray balls but hey everyone sees the game differently.

Harding for me.......since he was dropped for those couple of games he hasn't made so many errors. He is a good crosser and I think he is a bit quicker that Dickson. True though, there ain't much innit........

    Either or for me.
Harding is a far better player than he was last year (although I just wish he would whip crosses in with more pace because he does get in some really good positions and wastes them with a high floaty cross). He has decent pace and is pretty good technically - I question his positioning sometimes, and has been guilty of ball watching on occasion, but that's being hyper critical to be fair as we are in league 1.

Dickson defends well, and looks better going forward IMO but he's young still so has a lot to learn.

Like I said, I'm happy with them being interchangeable - like our right backs really.

Either of them would walk into virtually any other League 1 side, although after Dicksons performance last night i think he has earned the chance to have a run in the side. With Joseph Mills also still on the books it will be interesting to see who gets the left back slot next season.

Last night Dickson was superb. I would play him again on Saturday to see if he can repeat the form shown.

Interestingly this topic splits a lot of Saints fans, personally I think defensively & distribution Harding is awful, but i still haven't forgiven Dickson for his superb pass to Giggs against the Mancs that gave them their second goal. If we do go up (everything crossed) who would you keep out of the back 7-8 players? Fonte, Jaidi (back up), Martin (future) I'm not convinced by any of the others.

Harding has been consistant over 2 seasons.., I admit at times his defending is one to be desired.. but he is a full back and there job is to attack more than too defend!! he does watch the ball alot, but counters that by staying on the opponent and giving him little space to whip crosses in!

Personally for me it's harding.. why change a winning back four that have only let 2 goals in over the past 4/5 games! :)
