Dicko set for knee surgery

    Portsmouth defender Carl Dickinson needs an operation on his injured knee and could be on the sidelines for a lengthy period.

    The on-loan Stoke defender missed Tuesday night's defeat at QPR with the problem.

    "Carl will be going in and having a knee operation. It could be short-term or long-term," said Pompey boss Steve Cotterill.

    "He will definitely have to have something done, it's just the severity of what he has to have done."

    Always liked Dicko. Some say he couldn't face up to Premier Leauge standard, but I reckon a good, strong, physical player like him would do fine..
