In my younger days I used to get really annoyed at DD in wacky races who was always stopping to set traps for the others despite being way out in front. The 8 year old me use to shout 'keep going you are miles in te lead and have a rocket powered car they will never catch you'. On the other hand wile e coyote used to try and try again but he never ever got anywhere and thus became a hero of mine. The question for the other posters is Do you see supporting Sunderland as more 'dick dastardly' always self imploding from a position of promise or more 'wile e coyote' no matter what is tried never ever getting anywhere?
