Another manager who clearly doesn’t rate him. In all honesty I haven’t seen him have a good game for us yet, but when you are dropped from the bench for the likes of George Dobson, you know there is a problem.

Would much rather see Dan Neil get a chance in all honesty.

No he wasn’t. Literally no mention of him being injured anywhere. The caretaker obviously just doesn’t rate him.

Tbf he's been playing out of position most of the time he's had minutes on the pitch. I'll judge him when he's played properly.

The caretaker is Parkinsons boot boy, he was unlikely to change anything.
We need a new manager asap for that reason alone

Who? Diamond or Neil? Diamond didn’t which, to me, suggests he’s injured. And, as Neil played Monday he shouldn’t be playing a Tuesday night game

Diamond is just the type of alternative we need up front yet he has been ignored by the Parky Set, Diamond, Neil and others (Kimpi, and Curryr) should have been given game time up front instead of constantly shuffling a pack of ageing deadbeats with no future here or elsewhere. Now is the time for change, and re-shape the team, even gradually if need be , but there is little hope with this clone in charge at the minute.

Ah - Confused me - I think the "injury" comment was attributed to Diamond although I can;t be sure

See I don't understand this - he's never played or trained as a centre forward. He's played and trained as a winger/wing back. Not sure why you'd want to play him up front as everyone complains about every other "square peg, round hole" thing we do

Because he is quick, tricky and can go past players with the ball at his feet, and scores goals.

Should have just said ‘the opposite to our current strikers’ mate.

Not in the modern game. Wingers used to be inside or outside left or right and this made them forwards. Being a winger nowadays is a totally different role. Would you play Nicky Summerbee up front? Or Beckham? Lee Sharpe?

not saying he isn’t capable (I have no idea) just that it would be another square peg in reality

So what are you saying, I am saying Diamond, Neil and Curry could play important roles in our current first team, I'm not comparing him, or them to anybody, or are you just arguing for auguments sake.

I wasn’t even arguing man. This thread is about Diamond. I thought you were saying play him up front. If I’ve missed posts in between I apologise. I just made the point that he’d be a square peg so to speak. Wasn’t trying to argue or anything but just getting my point across

I was saying play him up front, but did not mention as a center forward, you did, so why would he be a square peg, I just don't get where you are coming from.
Misunderstandings are common place on here so I guess we should both look before we leap. <ok>
