Out of the 2, which signing shocked you the most ? For me, it has to be Falcao, because it came out of the blue, no-one knew about it, Arsenal and Manchester city were said to be interested in him but when he came to us, i was in shock, i couldn't believe it.
I was surprised, till I heard what you were paying him, (between 280k and 360k per week depending on who you believe, either way its a **** to of cash). There's no way Arsenal or City or would have met those wage demands. But like Tupac used to say, if ya got it better flaunt it

I was surprised that Falcao was coming to United. Not because United couldn't afford him because clearly they could. Not because he chose United because he was going to go a big club who could afford his wages. I was pleasantly surprised because at last we were competing for big players that become available. In recent times, United would not have gone for a player like him. This is a signal to all other big players that if they don't sign for United others will do so.
Were either really that shocking? It was known to most that these 2 players could move on. There aren't many transfer deals that truly shock me nowadays. Barca and Real did their thing of spending ridiculous money on the current limelight players and the other clubs picked off their surplus players in Fabregas, Di Maria, Sanchez etc. Alonso to Bayern was one of the biggest shocks, maybe even Welbeck as United don't normally sell to rivals.
Forgot about both of those to be honest. Both shock moves, especially Welbeck to Arsenal.....when was the last time United sold an academy player to anyone who wasn't Sunderland or Everton, those are normally the clubs that failed United academy players go to die.
He has a perfect record this summer to be fair. Infact hes the only one who got anything right at all. However hes usually better for spanish clubs but hes pretty clued up. Sky let him break both stories after all.
