With (I believe) Gareth Bale missing from the Welsh team, I don't think Wales will have a decent enough team to beat England. ** Probably famous last words ! **
Wales havn't won a qualifier yet, we are top of the group. I no anything can happen in football but the chances of them getting anything but another loss are slim, especially with bale missing. Also apparently they made Ramsey captain he has played 1 full match for Arsenal since breaking his leg a year and half ago, personaly don't understand him getting the captains armband.
I think England will win, but I have really not much time for them, as a group of players, so I don't care if they lose that much. Is there a coach/manager anywhere in the world that could galvanise that lot into actually realising themselves for what they really are?
Especially with that 'orrible John Terry as captain. What was Capello thinking when he gave him back the armband ? Totally undeserved to my mind.
It's not about the players - it's the England team - they're ours and we should support them. I wasn't keen on the "you can only support 1 team" rule here on not 606. But I chose Portsmouth above England as my main team as they're more relevent to my life most of the time.
Yes they are our team, but why do some of the players seem to treat internationals like it's a stag do?

Welcome to not606 Newman. Hope you enjoy it! I support England of course, but the whole system stinks. Friendlies come up, Man U Liverpool, Chelsea players etc, can't play because of strains, pulls, stubbed toes, whatever, but are running around like spring lambs within days of the match. When they do turn up it's just a jolly, they get drunk, smoke cigars, take it turns to be unfaithful to their partners, the list just goes on and on.
Cheers, the forum is pretty well set up, got the link from 606 but rarely used to post on there, just liked to read it, some of the stuff people come out with is hilarious. I agree the system stinks, don't think its possbile to argue with that, and i hate that Terry is allowed anywhere near an England shirt is the worst of the lot of them in my oppinion maybe thats why hes captain? Still i'll cheer them on whilst there playing and moan about them after they let us down, well im off to the pub to get fustrated as we struggle to victory. Thanks for the welcome.
