Who will pay for all the damage caused by the anarchist thugs rioting and looting in London?

Unfortunately, the answer is plain and simple. Me & You (Well if you still pay tax to the UK government).

Twitter was going nuts last night and one very very good point raised was that the police cannot do a thing - yes, they have been immensely brave in trying to prevent more damage by these hooligans - but they won't touch the criminals because they are scared about the repercussions.

There is only one answer to solving this - bring in the water cannons and the army - put a curfew on Central London and other affected areas and draw the conclusion that anyone who is on the street is a criminal and looter.

Now is not the time for health and safety and red tape - nip it in the bud now.

couldn't have put it better myself mike.

If David Cameron were to announce a state of emergency and call the army in to enforce a curfew, does that mean looters can be shot, or am I asking a bit much here?<whistle>

For many it's the chance to get a new, free of charge, flat screen television. Or knick the mobile from the injured.

At least they are now to introduce rubber bullets for the police to use against the troublemakers.

They are nothing but "low lifes".

We used these in NI many years ago. Apart from the one, who bore it's terrible brunt, they achieved virtually nothing. Water cannon and CS gas are far more effective!

Anyone who rioted can now no longer complain about the cuts, considering the amount of money local councils will now have to waste due to their thuggery, thus reducing their budget for other areas.
