Can England conjure up another unlikely win today, or is the Lords Test heading for an inevitable draw?
Didn't think we'd win the last one like we did so can't believe there will be another collapse - unless it's England of course! About time we dropped Peterson too.
It's difficult to drop a player who averages close to 50 with the bat in tests, but Pieterson must be feeling the pressure a bit. With him, you always seem to think that his next volcanic innings is just there waiting to happen - but how long do you wait? His main weakness is against leg spin/left arm off spin. If he fails again today and in the third test it will give the selectors a headache, with India the next visitors this summer.
Not sure, but since Friday with the how to pronounce 'scone' controversy I've learnt a new pun. "Two more bites and it's scone"
The press ruined another good England player by continuously pointing out his weakness for spin. The pressure keeps mounting up and you just know it will be their downfall. If you need reminding of the other players name, Hampshires Robin Smith.
Strauss has just declared England's 2nd innings at 335-7 Sri Lanka need 343 from a maximum of 58 overs (an unlikely run rate of 5.91) England need a wickets at an average of 34.8 deliveries each.
