A pinch and a punch for the first of the month!

With Chelsea and Real Betis visiting Fratton Park, and assumably Pompey visiting Westleigh Park to play Havant & Waterlooville, what are your thoughts going into those games?

I'd definitely be interested in going to Real Betis, and perhaps Havant & Waterlooville as I've never been to Westleigh Park before.... so I may go. Not hugely interested in Chelsea tbh. Had it been Arsenal.....

For Chelsea, I think the game is going to be as much of a training session for them as it is for us. We wont see any of their first team I wouldnt imagine, but their new boss will be mulling over the second string to see what he wants to do with them.

It will give us a chance to start bonding as a team also - but i wouldnt imagine it will be the most strenuous of games for either sides!

The Real Betis one does sound interesting and by that time we should have a good idea of how we are going to shape up away to Middlesbrough on the first day of the season.

Not too bothered about the pre-season stuff really. However, the H&W game is always worth a visit. I think it's on the 11th.

Nice compact little ground and a chance to get up close to SC and co. Always good fun. Recommend it.
