Trivia Question: Which two sides finished below Mansfield in their first Football League season?
Next up for Pompey it's Mansfield away. The Stags have had a mixed bag in their first three matches back in the Football league. A 2-0 loss at Sc.unthorpe on the opening day was followed by a goalles draw at home to Exeter. Like Pompey they picked up their first win of the season in their last game, with a 1-0 win at Wycombe. So let's have a few attendance and score predictions.
Got my ticket for this one. At least its not as early as accrington the other week! Think we are going to be set up not to concede and hit on the break so going 2-0 with one each for the in form strikers! Saw their ground around five years back when I worked up there. Remember thinking at the time that us lot could make some good noise in there. Didn't think for a second it would be a league fixture so soon though. From what the steward was saying and the atmosphere around town and pubs etc its quite a rough place at times. Would like to think we'd get 1350-1400 up there its closer than accrington by a fair way and normal kick off time
2-1 to Pompey sounds good to me. I'd like to see Romain Padovani keep his place in midfield rather than Johnny Ertl step immediately back into the side. Have PFC sold 1,000 tickets yet for the match ? Should do it easily, I would have thought.
Random factoid: on my current game of Football Manager, my team (Forest Green) play Mansfield in the FA Trophy semi-final. Exciting.
950 so far not bad with two days buying time left. No tickets on the day though. Hope no one travels without one.
Damn, just two out. That's gotta be one of the most accurate football attendance predictions of all time.
Palmer is on, ex of the Hawks. Apparently his family are Saints fans, so hopefully we can keep him quiet!
