City's U21 Development team finished the season in third place after defeating Crystal Palace 3-1 at the CCS. Goals from Rhys Healey, Jamie Bird and Kadeem Harris gave them their win. The Development team have only been beaten once in 2016. Good to see Ben Turner playing a full match, he will be important for us next season. Cardiff City: O'Reilly, Rees, Tutonda, Patten, Menayese, Turner, Kennedy, Wharton (Southam 67’), Healey (Abbruzzese 88’), Bird, Harris (Phipps 71’). Subs Not Used: Coughlan, James. Some useful players in the squad - will be interesting to see how many break through into the first team. I guess that will depend on how we do in the next week or two and what happens in the summer. Likely some will have to go out on loan to gain the first team experience all players need. Bluebirds!
I think he's out of contract this summer and may not be here. Strongly rumoured to be returning to Coventry if they can meet his wage requirements.
Strongly rumoured to be returning to Coventry if they can meet his wage requirements. I think I started that one on here about 3 weeks ago. It wouldn't be a surprise though if deemed surplus to requirements with us - assuming we hang on to our 3 first choices. I would like to see him stay as a good defender in many areas - apart from his long left to right "hollywood" passes. I guess the prognosis for his long term fitness will be key in this decision. Great result for the Devpt. Squad with Healey notching again and Harris also on the score sheet. I was surprised Healey didn't make the bench last Saturday. Not likely this week if Immers is fit again and assuming Zohore's injury is not serious. If we don't get a win at Sheffield then Healey is worth a start in the Brum game in view of his goal scoring record in the last few weeks. BT - is the Development team up for promotion or have they missed the boat by coming third?
