Development Squad vs Goole Town

Currently 1-0 to HCAFC, thanks to a Matty Dixon strike. Goole have already hit the post.

HCAFC: Watson, Topliss, Dawson, De Havilland, Aimson, Dixon, Clarke, CJM, Ter Horst, Rossi, Margetts.

 

Aimson seems determined to get Goole on the scoreboard, he's having an absolute mare.

 

Is the kid from Hereford playing? I forget his name.

De Havilland?? FFS

 

Preston just took the lead against liverpool its 1-0. Not sure why a Preston Liverpool preseason game is on but it is.

 

So we did sign Dawson after all?

 

HT 3-0, Margetts got a tap in and Karim Rossi scores a header from a CJM corner.

De Havilland is a trialist midfielder who was at Millwall last season.

Max Clarke is playing CM and is doing really well, he looks like he's gonna be a top player one day. City need to hang onto him. Rossi also looks like a good acquisition.

 

5 changes at half time, Cracknell has come on for Watson who did well. Margetts, Aimson and CJM are also off, I only recognise Fallowfield and McCawl that have come on.

 

How has Ter Horst played?

 

He's done ok yeah, a few nice touches. He actually miscontrolled the ball which Dixon put in for our first. But he looks alright, I'd like to see him more involved. Rossi looks very good.

Little fun fact, Rossi got some new boots today.

 

Trialist De Havilland off, the highly rated Clappison is on.

De Havilland was pretty good, did his job well. Was a RB not a CM.

 

So, he's arrived. Is he worth the £4m and the wait?

 

He doesn't look 31, I'll tell you that much.

 

Rossi just hit the post, the lad is everywhere.

 

Lets hope the club are really pushing him to improve by doing this. He's 18 n a half and for his own career he's got to break into a first team somewhere soon.

 

Well he looked head and shoulders the best player on the park in the first half, he pulled all the strings out there. If he plays like this in every game he features in, expect to see him in the first team squad in the pre season games. Might be this seasons surprise package.

Ter Horst should've scored then, just couldn't get the ball from out of his feet.
