On SSN indicating that he is considering a move away from Loftus Road, as he doesn't want to warm the bench at his age. If so, I for one wish him well

I really do feel its time for him to move on. Personally do not want to see him playing these days.

He could have played instead of Henry! I'd definitely play him before Henry.

You can't fault his attitude (both when playing and towards his career).

Wish some other want-aways took a leaf out his book.

Sadly for us at the moment, you take our young ones, and we take...oh well, I don't need to spell it out

Sean Derry - true QPR legend. He will have the best wishes of all QPR fans wherever he plies his trade (unless he goes to Millwall!).

He definitely hinted at Millwall or the interviewer was suggesting that may be his destination.

Wish him well, has been a great servant to this club.

He is super fit at the moment but I believe will be behind Henry who himself maybe behind Parker if he comes

It seems to be panning out that Harold is building from the bottom with team spirit then replacing positions with better quality

That back four will be settled by the window end: Simpson cover I predict and i expect Traore to stay and he is excellent at wing back going forward

Harold's game looks to be flooding forward no doubt ... Henry/Derry/Parker that role is therefore critical ... Jenas can also hold ... Ali can't so well

    Lads we are strong

QPR midfielder Shaun Derry would consider move amid Millwall link
    Last Updated: August 7, 2013 5:14pm

Shaun Derry: Desperate to play regularly and would consider a move to Millwall

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Shaun Derry has insisted he remains committed to the club but admits his main aim is to play regularly and he would think about a move elsewhere.

Derry has been linked with a loan switch to Millwall and he says he would have to consider his options carefully if he was given the opportunity to go somewhere and feature more heavily in the first XI.

The 35-year-old had to wait patiently for his opportunities at Loftus Road last season and has spoken with manager Harry Redknapp about his future.

Speaking to Sky Sports News about the connection to Millwall, Derry said: "There is a link there, but obviously I played last night for 30 minutes and enjoyed playing.

"I'm 35 now, I'm not 25 and a guy who likes to sit on the bench.

"I spent quite a lot of last year on the bench watching from the sidelines, and I'm a footballer who likes to play football.

"If there was to be an opportunity for me to play elsewhere then that is something I'd really have to look into quite deeply, but as it stands at the moment I am a QPR player and a very committed one."

Derry does not feel his career is drawing towards a finish just yet but he does accept that at this stage it would not be good for him to spend a lot of time as a substitute.

Asked if Redknapp had suggested that his future might lie elsewhere, Derry added: "Me and Harry have had a frank discussion last night and, although I am a QPR player, I am very open to playing football.

"I don't want to be wasting my final years, not that I feel I am anywhere near the scrapheap, but for the short-term playing games is really at the forefront of my mind

"I really missed playing a number of games last season. If, and it is a big if, I was to be given an opportunity at Millwall or anywhere else for that matter, it is something I would definitely have to look into."

Over the past two disastrous premiership seasons Derry was the one player we all knew would give his all [Nelsen last season of course] and for that I applaud his ability and commitment

Would be a shame to lose a player like Derry who has given his all for the club, but I can understand it.

We are so heavily loaded with central midfielders at the moment, and another one joined today. Would make sense for the club to allow some to leave - I think we have around 8/9 central midfielders which is far too much.

Millwall will struggle this season and Derry would certainly improve them...

I've said this a million times in the past, we should look to retain him as a coach.

Not good enough any more but still, he must be gutted to see a donkey like Henry come in and be 1st choice when Derry is better.
