i cant get why MH use them starting 11. they cant dominate opponents. just we were dominated caz they couldnt keep the ball clearly. Park Diakite Fallin (and Hopefully Ki) would be perfect. If we get Ki, i hope MH would use Park as Right winger. btw, what the hell happened to Diakite??? why he couldnt get on the pitch??
Mate...it was a pre-season friendly....not the Premier League!! Everyone in the potential squad needs game time.
Probably because MH knows what Diakite can do, and does, whereas Dyer needs the game time and Derry needs to stretch his legs, and this is the time to experiment not when the season starts. MH has to know who can play with who and how best to play them. Onwards and upwards!!
The game today changed dramatically once we replaced Dyer and Derry with Tarbs and SWP. I must say SWP did look confident and decent today! I think I must be coming down with the flu if im complimenting SWP!
We looked a different team after the subs. Neither of those 2 should start a game unless in an emergency.
I don't want Derry starting any premiership games anymore unless we have injuries and suspensions Just not up to the pace of the game i'm afraid

We need a squad. Can't understand why people are complaining when our manager is giving as many people as possible some game time. We are actually light in the middle IMHO. If Diakite gets an injury/suspension then Derry could be very important for us. Lay off him. He has given us great service and will again.
He has given us great service but its just my opinion that he is not good enough for our squad anymore If he starts against Swansea which I dont think he will do even without Faurlin, and plays well I will be surprised
At the start of last season we were all expressing surprise at the quality of Derry's performances. Sure, another 12 months have gone by and he ain't getting any younger. Sure, he was never the quickest and the classiest. Sure, he was found wanting more often as the season progressed. But, as many have said, he's still a useful squad player for the Rs. Without wishing to appear complacent - as this is the PL and it wouldn't be wise to underestimate any team - there is very much a role in the team for Derry against some of the weaker sides and in the cup competitions.
I don't expect him to start too many games, but he is perfect for a 20 minute cameo, when we need to shut up shop.
I can only assume because they were subbed off at halftime and we played much better thereafter, there is no way they will feature in the starting XI this season. What's the go with Diakite? Has he featured much this pre-season?
