I was at the Brighton game and I'm afraid I feared the worse for this season. It wouldn't have been unfair if Brighton had trotted to a 3 or 4-1 win. I was delighted to leave ER having stolen a last gasp win, which was a bit better than my mate's supporters' club who went en masse to the Burnley game. Though he did thank me for warning him. We need a striker, is Somma still at the club, is he wrecked again? I did see that we were releasing him when he recvers from his latest setback. Perhaps McDermott should reconsider. I don't think Becchio is the solution, he couldn't wait to go, feck him!
It was mentioned yesterday morning by one of the regs. Doesn't look any better this morning does it. On the up side we are having Sunday lunch out today. I shall be eating potatoes and drinking black stuff. If I could grow a sixth finger you could call me Mick.
That's cos it's brewed in Dublin. I believe most of the Guinness in Spain etc is brewed elsewhere. I suspect some of the stuff in the uk may be the same. I've got some here that didn't come from the Dublin brewery and there can be a hell of a difference
On a positive note, remember beating them 4.3 after being 3.1 down and then that song We get knocked down, but we get up again, being played...I've cheered myself up, or is it the cider...
Afternoon all. Me thinks the biggest problem is that BMD still hasn't worked out his best starting XI. To my mind and with thanks to Mowatt stepping up to the plate, the starting XI shoud be a 4 1 3 2. So: Byram Pearce Lees or Wooten Warnock Brown Diouf Austin Mowatt Varney (Poleon is still better off the bench) McCormack Set the team up like that and the spine is a bit stronger, & there's a bit more creativity c/o Diouf
As ever Eire. Plenty of decent passing ad attempts on goal yesterday, matched only by some defending that would make a kids school look good. Green has to return to the bench. Brown has to come in to sit in front of the back 4. Whether Tonge plays as the 3rd member of a flat three in midfield oe Diouf comes in to add a bit more creativity is up for discussion. Clearly Hunt needs to return to the development squad to get his confidence back, & Varney should replace him. All in all, yesterday was a bad day all round with the result just adding to the quality of my day. Made even worse was the fact that Derby were there for the beating. Their Goalie made Kasper Schmeichel look good (did anyone see his og??? Hilarious!!!) How's life in Padistan Eire? Black stuff still flowing freely???
Not a drop in three weeks boggers. Daughters graduation on 24th and my birthday two days later so stashing the cash for that weekend and will give it a good old lash hopefully.
