One of the best days ever being a Sunderland fan but does anyone else wish we'd gone for more goals toward the end? They were finished and had nothing left, we could have scored 5 or 6 I reckon and really caused some damage. Ive lost count of how many times I've watched it now. Can't wait to give Paolo a warm welcome on.Saturday, lets put another hoodoo to bed and beat the Toffees!!!
I can;t complain but would've like to have scored 5 so they could stick their 5-1 up their arses!! My mate on facebook is biting every time I post - He was going on about the 5-1 last night so I mentioned the 9-1 and he went into all sorts of stats about how theyve beaten us more times - muist've spent hours doing it as well when you look at how much effort he's put in. Bless him!!
I fancy Danny Graham to break his duck. There's a great pic of him doing a three finger salute with Bardsley on twitter
Apparently Webb (and the linespeople) has been relegated to a league 1 game this weekend, cos of the number of mistakes he made. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Colchester-string-gaffes-Tyne-Wear-derby.html
If he has not learnt by now to check with the linesman before celebrating a Cisse goal, he will never learn (ignoring the fact it was onside)!
I regret hiding away watching it at my mate's house when I could have been at my mag dominated local revelling in their destruction!
According to someone on talkshite he hasn't been "relegated" he has been scheduled to do this for ages - although it just so happens that it happened after one of his worst performances in the league - this happens EVERY TIME a ref gets "relegated" they come out with some ****e like "He was already scheduled to do this game" - they've done it with Atkinson, Webb and loads of others and it always seems to be the week after a/some bad decisions. Bollocks - he's been relegated regardless of what they say
Despite what the Mags might say, this trumps the 5-1, since it was on their own patch, keeping a clean sheet, with them having 11 men on the pitch for the entire game.
Howard Webb was the biggest disappointment imo, a disgrace that could have cost our club dearly, maybe our premier league status, ****ing ****er
What a shame all that effort to walk toward PDC to scowl and craaaa and the goal gets disallowed. No wonder I hate this horrible excuse for a man, totally classless, nowt to do with Newcastle I have always ****ing hated him.
**** me kidda at 1-0 I was up for taking a point there and then never mind having disappointments over not scoring another 4 or 5? I think we did just fine with 3 goals, total domination of the pace and tactics and still being able to claim we were robbed of 2 good penalty shouts. They had chances and a disallowed goal (wrongly as it turned out) but that is Karma for Steven Taylor's theatrics in previous encounters at Sid James. Anyone remember the blatant dice for the penalty there a few years back? We were due some luck in a derby for once. It didn't change the fact we absolutely stuffed the bastards........on their manor. Cushty.
Did you notice this comment from a Skunk? Bloody hell talk about embarrassing yourself nationally. Gouffran challenge was not malicious. As many have already said he was trying to reverse out of the challenge and his foot slipped over the ball and caught Johnson. In fact if Webb had been up to speed he would have blown for a free kick to Newcastle for the challenge on Gouffran seconds earlier. Johnson went down and made a complete meal of the incident, in keeping with his team mate Bardsley, who rolled around in absolute agony when challenged by Cisse, and then proceeded to get up and take the free kick himself seconds after Cisse was booked, hardly the usual occuirence after such a "bad" challenge. Mingolet, who went down like a sack of tatties after a challenge by Taylor, even though the ball was loose, spent "time wasting" minutes on the ground whilst his team mates whinged for a red card, and then got up without even a slight hesitation and took the free kick. Sessengnon must have dived at least three times, once in the penalty area, which if not a pen is a yellow card - PierreL , Newcastle, 16/4/2013 13:33
Tell you what, watch it all and see that he turns towards PDC, as if to celebrate, sees PDC standing looking at him and not flinching an inch and then kind of turns away discreetly with a kind of "Oops, is he still looking at me"; only to then see the flag up and his ego deflate. Quality. Would love to have seen him walk up to PDC and bellow in his face as he did MoN? He'd have had messy pants alright but they wouldn't have been friggin grass stains. Lol
