    Good Morning / Evening Everyone

Leeds start their 2018-19 travels with a trip down to theiPro Stadium for a Saturday evening encounter with Derby County.

The Rams will be without star striker Matej Vydra who has joined Premiership outfit Burnley.

In turn it is believed Derby will purchase Martyn Waghorn from Ipswich Town.

    COMPLETED INS FROM
    Jayden Bogle
    Derby County U21 Transfer
    George Evans Reading
    Florian Jozefzoon Brentford
    Jack Marriott Peterborough United
    Mason Mount Chelsea
    Harry Wilson Liverpool

Frank Lampard has also raided his former club again to bring in England U21 defender Fikayo Tomori on a season long loan

Marcelo Biels must decide whether to tinker with the same starting XI that outplayed Stoke last Sunday or hand debuts to Blackman, Baker, Harrison or Bamford?

Team wise, I’d say as we were, seems an injustice to change anyone although I wouldn’t mind Pontus starting and I wouldn’t mind seeing more of Harrison.

Maybe almost purple like I've seen the Leeds ladies in. Your guess is as good as mine though!

This match will be a bit tasty. Bamford will want to play as he was once at Derby. Jooz used Leeds to get a big pay rise at Derby, Vydra messed with Leeds, Marriot was spoken about to Peterborough but we never made a firm offer and he will want to get off the mark. Blackman will fancy this and Lampard will be bricking it as he comes up against Bielsa knowing what happened to gobby at Stoke.

My prediction is I will get pissed watching it from the comfort of my armchair.

Think it’s too early for predictions, it’s still possible that Stoke were not very good. Equally we may genuinely have been brilliant. This game may give us a clearer view of our chances this season. Think we’ll win by one goal but a draw would really be a good result.

Just reading a post on social media, Leeds to win 3/1 Leeds to win both teams to score 15/2 average odds if you ignore the Stoke game. Take the Stoke game into account and those have got to be decent odds?

Skybet have 21/20 Derby, 5/2 Leeds, 5/2 draw

I know they beat Reading away but it was by the skin of their teeth, Reading are not much cop based on what I saw last season, so might be better odds than we should have. Think I’ll have a small flutter.

I notice Derby had 63% possession v Reading so maybe they too like to have the ball - might be interesting how that plays out v Bielsa’s Leeds. Be interesting how he handles our first away game, anyway

Do you think Lampard will be wise to Bielsa's style of play given his experience playing against Barca etc?

Neville in his stint in Spain showed how you might be knowledgeable but getting it over to the players is another thing. I think they’ll have to worry about us more than we do them.

For example, play against a straight forward system and you can instruct your players accordingly, Lampard has to think how do I stop the runs from Ayling, down the right, how do I stop Douglas down the left, who do I put on Saiz, will that leave Hernandez too much space and what do I do about Klich and Phillips overlapping and switching roles. Haven’t even touched on the pace of Roofe and his movement.

If we play like last week we win by 2. However we saw in pre-season what happens when the speed passing and getting in their faces doesnt quite come off. Pre-season rust was on show in all the friendlies but it all clicked last week and another full week of training and instruction this week, with new players bedding in.... could be good

Morning all. I was not impressed by Derby and thought the best team lost. Most of their possession was through back passes. If they play like that against Leeds they will be swamped.

    Good morning all
I guess the 64 million dollar question on everyone's lips, is can we perform again like we did on sunday ?
I think it will be a lot different in an away match against Derby, another team who likes to keep the ball,One thing about Bielsa he is NOT one dimensional but a master tactician,i wouldn't be surprised if we played a stifling game & hit them hard on the break, the players now seem to know how to do that (score that is & keep the ball themselves) whatever happens it's gonna be a good game.I for one would be happy with a draw, for as long as i can remember Derby have always been a bit of a bogey side to us. & four out of six points against possibly two of the strongest sides in the division, would be a start any of us would have taken before the new season, and what a start it would be.

I think we played Stoke at the right time and they may be a different team when we play them away. So I hope it wasn't a fluke and we can get a good result against Derby. My only worry and apologies for being a bit negative is that if we lose all the fickle fans will be out in force and might get on the players backs. Our new manager will walk as soon as he gets any grief. :(
