I was simply posting the MOTM vote to underline that a lot of people recognise Cook's ability & contributon, and drawing attention to the fact that you were a lone grover in your own opinion. Loverboy ... nothing wrong with differing opinions, but your dissing of Cook's contribution against Derby is either you being completely dense, or just trying to WUM ... we once had a Clive on here who offered atrocious opinions regularly that just made no sense ... Cook was superb on Saturday, and he gave Derby's midfield a bit of a runaround ... only criticism I have of Cook is he still needs to work on getting back quicker and helping the back four ... not a complete player yet, but on his way for sure ... like Giles, he can pass and put his foot in if needed, and he is clearly on a steep learning curve ... rather have him playing for us than against us Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Actually neither Billy, opinions are differing, I said it last season, and I say it this season, it's the impact I'm looking for and I don't see any. Our strikers are looking mediocre because of lack of service. I find it interesting that it's only my Cook comments some are debating, I take it many are in agreement about my other comments then.

To be fair LL, the Burnley game was played totally different to the Derby game, in the Burnley game the midfield was missed out with balls being punted up front for Wood and Dallas, first game of the season!! Rosler may have had his tactics wrong that day, but after saying that we nearly got all 3 points. Derby was a different kettle of fish, we worked the ball through midfield on the deck, in which Derby were very uncomfortable with (1st half) as you saw the 2nd half was totally different, Derby came at us and Cook broke down so many attacks, either by tackles or closing down space and angles hence not letting Derby deliver the killer ball. He is known in the game as a nuisance.........covers lots of ground, snaps into tackles, and can distribute the ball sensible, nothing elaborate just simple but affective passes of the ball................hence Scholes mark ll.
I think we might have had at least a couple more points on the board if Cook had not got himself suspended, if he carries on playing as well then we might wish there wasn't a January transfer window as he will have plenty of attention.
