The Rams have been in good form as of late, demonstrating their resilience with a 0-0 draw against Burnley at Deepdale, a commanding 4-0 victory over Portsmouth, and a hard-fought 2-1 win against the Baggies on Boxing Day. Their only setback since the last meeting with Leeds, which resulted in a comfortable 2-0 win for the Whites at the beginning of the month, was a narrow loss at Luton. Despite this minor blip, Derby has shown significant improvement and could present problems for the Whites away from home. Currently, there is a stark contrast in the standings between the two teams, with Leeds enjoying a 21-point and 13-place advantage over the Rams at the halfway point of the Championship season. The Whites are on a trajectory that could see them amass an impressive 96 points if they maintain their current form. However, competition is fierce, with only a single point separating the top three. After being rested during the recent game against Stoke, AO Tanaka is likely to return to the starting line-up, with Joe Rothwell potentially dropping to the bench. Defensive concerns persist, as Ilia Gruev, Junior Firpo, and Max Wober remain side-lined due to injury, suggesting Farke will stick with a back four of Bogle, Rodon, Struijk and Byram Manor Solomon and Dan James have been wreaking havoc on opposing defences with their blistering pace, exceptional link-up play, and ability to get the ball into the box. Their performances have solidified their place in the starting line-up over the likes of Gnonto & Ramazani. Rams boss Paul Warne isn't expected to make any changes to the side that beat West Brom on Boxing Day. In midfield, Ebou Adams and Kenzo Goudmijn are expected to play as pivots in front of the back four. Further ahead of that duo are Mendez-Laing who should take his place on the left, with Kayden Jackson on the opposite flank. Marcus Harness is expected to play as a number 10 behind Jerry Yates who leads the attack.
They are pretty solid at home above West Brom, Norwich, Preston, Millwall in the home table. We really need a win here whilst the others have tough fixtures. If we can go on a run of results from here then we can really stamp our authority on this league and make the others play for 2nd place. Lose at Derby and I fear a long slog between 3 or 4 teams like last year.
2-0 Leeds win for me. Got Boxing Day’s forecast correct, hopefully same again. We just need to score first
True it's a different test at their place, than it was at ours. Be interesting if they're a bit more expansive or park the bus again. Warne was the most defeatest i've ever heard from an opposition manager at Elland Road. Basically, saying all our players were better and there was no way to win without getting lucky. Thought 2-0 defeat was a great result.
Be great to win this one, back to back away wins blowing away any superstitions about away form, those others fighting for promotion playing each other, a win could give us some breathing space
Decent at Home I watched their latest game home to West Brom and West Brom had plenty of chances to win the game. Derby were hanging on at the end . Most important thing is to score first if we do we will blow these away. Trying not to be to over confident as football can change in a blink of a eye but the 2 sides are miles apart and champions win these games.
Let's give the rams something to bleat about shall we, and stop the possibility of the binoculars been given an airing ..... make it a great end to the year atop the league
Enjoy the game and pints lads. Hope to sneak out for a couple of hours to see it. On day 8 of bedside vigil with dad in hospital. On last leg of a great long life. Still asks about Leeds every day and it’s the only sense he can make
Hi all ! MOT 0-2 today for me! Can you please subscribe to our YouTube channel ! https://youtube.com/@onlyleedsbros?si=834CqeEMC0TkQiZW
Sheff Utd making hard work of managerless West Brom here. Sheff holding on. Hamer should have seen red and West Brom should have had a penalty.
I don't often talk of my personal life on here but...just to let you know you're not on your own fella. Going through similar with my dad at the moment. Palliative care now. He built an extension last year on his own. He can't get from the living room to the kitchen on his own now.
