So what’s the plan for next season?
Have Loading start the match day threads from game 1, or keep him in reserve in case we get off to a slow start and lose a game or two?
Big decision needed.

I think we'll be ok with Loading next year as he is the Adam Armstrong of posters - A cut above in the Championship, but a bit lost and lacking the confidence to do more than one game in the Premier League.

I think though we should maybe try a few new posters in pre season, and then only bring out the big guns when needed.

Good point. Went AWOL when we needed him most and left Jabbo to carry the can. <laugh>

The week before we play Leicester (GW35), they play Wolves.

I think it's unlikely that Leicester will be relegated before they play Wolves, because that would require Wolves to be at least 16 points ahead of them. And I'm not convinced that Wolves are good enough for that. However, that match between Wolves and Leicester could very easily be when Leicester's relegation is confirmed. Because if Wolves were to be at least 10 points ahead of Leicester - which is very possible - then a victory for Wolves would send Leicester down. Even a draw might do it

The reason why I bring this up is because our trip to the King Power the following week is looking increasingly likely to be our best chance of beating Derby's record. But if Leicester go into that game with survival to fight for, I wouldn't even back to us to win that one.

On track for 13 currently. Squeaky bum time.
I will be honestly very upset if people start saying how happy they are if we beat the record. I don’t care if we finish on 10 or 13 points they are still by far and away the worst squad in Southampton’s history and deserve just as much mocking and outrage either way. Beating the record isn’t anything to be happy about, the fact we’ve been in the conversation the whole season just shows how truly dire it has been.

I care. And therefore you're probably not going to like me very much should we do it.

Open top bus parade and pitch invasion I reckon.
