A team try to find a reason for a goal against them whatever next! If the ref is taken in by Derby players acting like a goal against them should stand then he is a mug!
It’s a shame we’re not PL, not just because of VAR, but also because it would have got the attention that PGMOL may release the audio from it. but because it’s EFL will likely be swept under carpet
Yes. But it's the nature of this one and the way it was arrived at. I have never seen anything like it, and I've been going and watching since tellys ran on valves!
Not sure how rhetorical this question is but I'd have liked to have seen Roberts on earlier. Also it probably would have been for Rigg for me - either that or for Isidor. I would have liked to have seen Mayenda get a run as the lone striker. Think his graft and strength would have helped.
Player often try, but they never, ever change the ref's mind. Until last night as that seems to be the only explanation. They do it to apply game long pressure.
Yeah, can't blame them for trying but what the **** went on last night. The ref even looked at the linesman to see if it was offside he kept his flag down and ran off and it looked like the ref gave it!
An agent called me at lunchtime and said he heard that an official complaint had gone in this morning
Good, mistakes from officials are part of the game and overall I prefer that to VAR. It's not the fact that the decision was wrong it's two they came to the decision to dissalow it after looking like giving the goal.
I am not a fan of VAR however following that last night even the corrupt inept officials who operate it would have really struggled not to give that 2nd "goal".
No its the fact it was given then pulled after the 4th official got involved. The 4 official should not have been involved.
I have really big expectations for him. He has a lot of really strong attributes. Strong, quick, very good movement and can bully centre backs. Last night was a cool finish as well. He could have a big part to play the rest of this season, but not wide for me. He looks so much better through the middle.
what’s really surprised me is his passing / creativity. That’s hard to teach / learn but he spots runs from Isidor really early.
9 goal contributions is ridiculous for a 19 yr old, he would get so much more hype if he didn't have teammates like - Jobe, Rigg, Watson, mundle etc who have all impressed so much this season
Methinks trying to accomodate Le Fee in a central position. Why not have him, Wilson & Mayenda as a fluid 3 and interchanging positions. Its a class front 3 to start with.. Them moving positions would be hell on earth for defences to mark.
It’s incredible how much some of our youngsters have improved in such a short space of time. Look no further than Jobe
