Just phoned up the ticket office to buy my ticket for Pride Park. However, the online booking system now says the game is sold out. I must have timed that well. We've been allocated 2,700 and we can always request more if needed. I am getting the train up there from Reading on the Cross Country Voyager train (leaving 11.11 am) in case any other red and white stripey peeps are going up. Excited already!
I've got horrible memories from the last time I was at Pride Park thanks to the weirdest own goal ever scored and a missed penalty from a Spaniard... I've never been back since
Same here bud, don't think I could handle watching us lose there again. That night will always haunt me. ****ing Idiakez and Best. Upmost of respect to the 2700+ Saints fans travelling up though. I admire your bravary, commitment and faith!
I am up for this baby. Revenge for last time. No booze when we arrived, lost on pens and all the derby fans giving it the chin up when we were leaving. Everyone on the bus wanted to get off and get involved. So angry and it was horrible rain most of the night. Still I have to say as far as emotions taking me over at a footy game it will take some to beat that playoff game IMO. Whilst it was crap we lost the game was a rollercoaster like no other.
Remember guys, since that night we've been back and won with a very young side under Portaloo ps I got soaked through that night as well
No idea how we managed that! Derby had a pretty strong team at the time aswell - a rare moment of glory in a ****e season!
Yeah...Hey, why don't you do yourself a favour, purchase a ticket and attend if you're able. With the rub of the green, you might be able to banish your demons mate !! County looked poor against Leicester - I'll be there, I like Pride Park, one of the best of the new build grounds IMO
The game isn't sold out. I was going to buy online when I saw it said sold out so I rung them up and they said their is a fault with the site and that there are still tickets from our initial batch left. It also doesn't have the choice to buy Reading away tickets even though they are on sale to season ticket holders. If you want tickets I'd suggest going to St Mary's or ringing the booking line.
I went to Pride Park a few years ago, my grandparents live near there and I was on a boring weekend visit so I went to see Derby v Burnley, George Burley was the manager, I think Rasiak and Idiakez scored in a 3-0 win.
