A good result, when all´s said and done Make sure you draw if the game can´t be won, And in this year´s overall scheme of things One point will always be better than none And for while there it looked like we´d lose So to come back twice, I´d say was fair do´s, But with only three shots on goal all day From numerous tries, will make Adams muse Now we just have to make Christmas this year A six-pointer present to bring us some cheer, Otherwise today´s hard-fought battling draw Will only make us all cry in our beer Millwall and Reading the next on the list Ought not really to be able to resist, But if we slacken off in any way Then as we´ve seen before, points can be missed I´m putting my feet up for Christmas now Hoping by New Year our points score will grow, Preferably by six, so that today´s one Won´t feel alone in taking a bow. OTBC Merry Christmas ´nots´
i think most of us would have taken a point from this one before the kick off,but after outplaying derby for the vast majority of the game it was gutting to leave with just a point. however, most teams will leave derby with nothing this season,so all in all,i am happy. it is just so good to see us playing like we can again. we have had a terrible dip in recent weeks, but i STILL fancy us for promotion
This is the first game I have been able to see since Ipsquit as the internet speed here is such that it is impossible to get a watchable stream. Though we were the better team overall, but not by very much. If our shooting was more clinical we would have won easily though. Johnson was excellent, but he must rein in his shooting instincts. We had 17 shots and he was responsible for about 6 of them, which were as usual, with last week's exception, well off target.
Heard updates on 5Live only but got the distinct impression that we were the better side by some distance. The penalty sounded dubious and we had the Tettey 'goal' chalked off due to Jerome straying offside stupidly. Like Canary on the Weald said we would have taken a point beforehand and so not too disappointed with the return, paricularly if we go on to win against Millwall. It was though a good weekend for the top sides and so we have effectively gone backwards. What a great result for 10 man Watford!
