1. Native Khan 2. Recital 3. Seville I place Native Khan above Recital purely on a price basis. But the more i look at Recital the more i like him. He won so easily in the Derrinstown despite not actually running properly throughout the last couple of furlongs. Fallon seems confident and the O'Brien team seem to have suggested that Recital is the class horse, but Seville the safer option (ie. more reliable and a guaranteed stayer). And i have added my Derby preview to my blog here: http://tmarchhorseracing.blogspot.com/
1. Recital 2. Treasure Beach 3. Ocean War I hope Carlton House wins but I suspect the jockey has been given strict orders to look after the horse if it feels not 100% at any time in the race.
Well nobody had that 1-2-3 and the nineteen year old Mikael Barzalona wins the Derby at his first attempt. The French have not won the race since Empery in 1976. Andre Fabre will not be very happy with him celebrating like he was on an easy winner at Longchamp. It was a shame for The Queen that Carlton House did not get the best of runs but my first instinct is that this was not a vintage Derby.
