Just having a few cans after graft watching a few of the 15 minute highlights of games Sky Sports show, watched a Villa Birmingham 1, Sheffield 1 and Old (New) Firm 1. Just got me thinking, does anyone miss them? I do like, love them, but I think I prefer seeing them make fools of themselves in the lower leagues. Infact, I'd be happy to see them go pop. Would you like to see them back up for the derbies? Feels like it could be a very long time before we play them again, but at the same time we could be meeting them in the Championship in a year's time really
**** the 6 fingered sister pumping Adam Johnson nonce clapping seat shutting inbreds. it’s a no from me just for clarity. Let them rot like a turd in the turd division.
Kinda miss them but only in the competivie sense, the only way we'll play either in the next decade or so is in the cups, and then we'll probably just put out our kids in a tactical way to exit the competition, and give them some lame bragging rights. Despite everyone predicting us being relegation bound, we easily escaped this season, so I don't see a massively different situation in the coming season. Sunderland are 2 leagues below, and even if they do get their **** together and get into the Champ, they ain't going up from there. Boro have had one promotion from the Champ in 11 years and almost went down again last season, they sure as **** ain't coming up any time soon. So in answer to the question, I kinda do miss the derbies, but when I think about Mackems and Boro, the thing that comes to mind is a comforting "wow you're even ****ter than us" thought.
**** aye, I'd rather play them than any other club bar non. It was always about more than football for me, about communities, how we were brought up on both sides. The rush of adrenalin. It's different when you play them, a tingle in the spine, in your body that I miss.
6 in a row what a weird **** up fred. you can tell by alberts post, the 2nd post in this thread, what everyone was first thinking
Hopefully Sunderland go into administration as far as I'm concerned... I won't miss them at all... There's no time for mercy here..... They're close to being eradicated from the face of the earth and if that happens it'll make my life...
It'll probably be a long time before we meet again, unless you go on a crazy cup run and get to the turd round. The salary cap is the beginning of the end for you. You can't overpay players for your level, so any decent player at that level is going to pick someone else over you because your town is an absolute dump. Fleetwood will have more pulling power than you now
People can bleat on as much as they want about Sunderlands current position, but the simple fact is that they have bragging rights until we beat them.
To me bragging rights mean nothing when you are ****. They are **** in League 1 and we are **** in the PL. It's a primary school mentality. I would rather be beating the best sides in the world over beating a team down the road. Playing AC Milan in a European competition or playing in a derby? Easy choice for me, playing AC Milan.
I refer back to #4 I'm old school mate, born and bred on Tyneside. Brought up on stories of 68, first game down at Roker when I was 15. No disrespect meant, but I have a different mentality to the likes of yourself.
Fair enough. I also moved around a lot as a child all over the country. Like I say as long as we're doing well that's all I care about. The fact is at the moment we're **** and they are ****. Doesn't matter how heavy the rain is you still get wet
The biggest condemnation I'll ever have with Ashley/Pardew is the run of losses. Your spot on with we're ****, they're ****, but the number of people that say, at least we're not as bad as Sunderland, is unreal. Its used as a big f****** crutch, to hide behind our own failings.
