It has been revealed that Jewell and Bullard have had a big falling out over the refusal by Bullard to move closer to Ipswich from his current base in Cobham Surrey. This sounds familiar to the Keane v Lisbie & Thatcher scenario a few years back. While I absolutely agree that Bullard should up sticks and move to Suffolk or even Essex to be closer to the club I still believe that Jewell was mad to sign him in the first place. The Ipswich insider has also revealed that Bullard's attitude in training genuinely stinks and that he is lauding his £18K per week causing resentment amongst the other players. I fear that the Hull fans could be right about this mercernary prima dona. I have been on record as saying that I didn't want Bullard back because of his reputation and now it appears that he is causing disharmony amongst the players. This is just one symptom of what is wrong at our club at the current time.

He was a good player 5 or 6 years ago but he's well past it now and his lifestyle is catching up with him. And his attitude stinks.

If the rumours are right then this is not good news.

But he was our best player at the club last season by a mile, his work rate was superb. He and McAuley almost single handedly kept us in the division last year. I would of perhaps been against signing him if Jewell wasn't in charge, because he managed him in his most successful time fo his career, so you would hope knows how to handle him. When he came to the club last year he was really someone who we needed at the club to bring a bit of fun back to the club and it really did work and he was a big part of it. Our unbeaten run also coincided with us signing him and playing in our team, it gave everyone a lift. But at the same time he hasn't looked half the player he was last year, in the main he hasn't looked fully fit. Although a major problem is that he has been played out of position!!

The jury is out on this one.

J.W.M. is right, he was a stupid signing, and I did preach caution when we bought him. He did not have much to lose last season, there was only a third of the matches to go. However starting a season is a different matter, forty six hard league matches, Bullards lack of pace gets us in all kinds of trouble, he is good on the ball, its what he does not do off the ball, that is a problem, mainly failing to pick up midfield runners, when we are attacked, which is often. He has an amateurish attitude to the point of annoyance, the incident where he had to run from Sainsburys, because he said the road was blocked, he should have been there hours before the start, if he is a pro.

I genuinely feel sorry for you lot having this waster at your club, he's an absolute disgrace as a professional footballer and brings everybody down, good luck for the rest of the season anyhow

The bit that gets my goat the most is this statement

"Bullard’s form has dipped in recent weeks during the club's seven-game run of defeats, having been one of the key performers during the earlier good run which saw the Blues into the play-off places."

    Absolute Boll*cks!

Bullard is yet to make a telling (positive) impact on any game this season, quite honestly he's been more of a liability than anything and the immunity he seems to have had from criticism from our fans only winds me up more.
As for this debacle, not a massive surprise and I imagine it'll blow over but honestly the guy isn't really 'needed' by the club and he doesn't 'need' us which is why the relationship worked so well last season as we were crying out for someone like Jimmy and he needed to be a big fish... Now things are different things aren't as rosy.

Sack him You deserve better than Bullard.

Ipswich is a decent club. Bullard has always been like this, ask the Fulham fans.
