There's no two ways about it, that was a pretty depressing afternoon and the soap opera that it Cardiff FC has left us on another cliffhanger. I love Malky: I think he's a great man in a difficult job. He has a lunatic trying to pull the strings and it must be incredibly difficult to focus, and that goes for the players too. I just don't think we have the players there to do it. We've not seen Craig Bellamt for ages and there's something a bit rank about that situation if you ask me.

Who do people want to play now? Us. Why? Well, it doesn't take a genius to work that out does it.

Fact is that a new manager will be given more money, Malky won't. It's beginning to look like a case of having to look at which side the bread is buttered. However, the whole thing has left a very nasty taste in the mouth and I'm left thinking seriously about whether I'll be able to continue with Cardiff Red. It's all just too unseemly. I've tried hard. I even wore the red scarf for a couple of games, but my heart wasn't in it.

It's a tight league and a win on Saturday changes everything again. However, I'm beginning to think that the players are being left in a very difficult situation. How can anyone play a game of football in those bizarre circumstances, I don't know.

Bit of a rambling post. I'm at a loss. Really.

    The reasons we lost were

    1 Playing 442
2 Playing the wrong players in a system which doesnt suit us
3 Southampton are better than us.

Nothing to do with the off field circus.

Back to 3 central midfielders. Probably Mutch , Medel and Kim.

    We badly need Bellamy back.

Left back is a problem - Taylor had a nightmare but Declan struggled as well. Can KTC play there and bring in Connolly.?

Odemwingie has to be left out.

If Medel isnt fit then Cowie has to be the defensive midfielder and not Gunnersson.

We are crying out for leadership on and off the field. One way or another things need to come to a head.

John may be a PL left back one day, none of us know how long that could be.

Taylor will never be a PL left back.

Who would you play on the wings Hilts? I agree with your central 3.

I would put Declan John in straight away the boy has something we struggle with, pace and not scared to receive a pass.

Noone and Bellamy if Bellamy is fit of course.

If hes not I think id give Maynard a chance up front with Campbell going to a wider role.

    A 451 turning into a 433.

I am sorry but if the owner is not allowed to pick the team then why should the fans? The manager picks the team and decides how we play.

However I know that everyone is simply stating their opinion and we can agree on certain players but not others so really no one can select a team everyone is happy with.

My thoughts are to rest Whitts, Taylor, Turner and Odemwingie for a good few games.

It don`t really matter now but the same players in the squad beat Man City and Swansea so are capable on the whole of turning in a really good display against Sunderland which will lift the gloom we all feel right now.

At least we do not have to wait a week before the team can respond.

The whole Tan/MM circus is now affecting performances and the sooner it is brought to a conclusion the better because the people who will suffer in the long term are the fans who have supported Cardiff through thick and thin! As has been said many times, the superb Bluebird support should be enjoying the Premier League experience, not worrying about a power struggle being played out in the national media. Put the whole sorry mess to bed one way or another and let the players concentrate on playing football, and the fans on supporting it!

I really hope it is sorted soon as you have shown that you have a team who can compete at this level; I have been vocal in my support and admiration of MM but have to concede, as has been the contention of regular posters on here, that he seems to have his own agenda.

Think Sunderland will be a landmark game and you are more than capable of taking three points, but the 'behind the scenes' bollox is obviously unsettling the players, whatever MM says.

Think Villa will be a landmark game for us as well, have found it a little distasteful that some jacks have been over here gloating when all is obviously less than rosy with us - we may be 11th at the minute but that position flatters to deceive - as much as we may hate to admit it, we are not far from a relegation battle ourselves!

So will have my fingers crossed that we can both come out of the Christmas fixtures with some breathing space between us and the teams (hopefully) below us and can enter the New Year with optimism, looking upward rather than over our shoulders!

KTF Bluebirds - I believe we are both good enough to survive in this league!

    <cheers>

Campbell certainly has the pace and work rate to have a decent go at that. Not sure I buy into the Bellamy theories mentioned on other threads. I think he's injured.

Because it's the managers' job, not the fans' or the owner's.

I think you are right on a number for fronts CH. We have a small pool of quaility players and you have more, thoihj they aren't firing at the moment. We both should have enough to stay up, with your position a bit more precarious than some of your posters would like to accept. Thhe table squeezed from the bottom yesterday. You are a good few places clear of relegation. but not that many points.
