Interesting that Berkamp's name was being linked to the Swansea job before Laudrup's exit. Now he is on the Daily Mirror's top ten to replace Laudrup? Views anyone.
He moved up in the betting quite a lot before Monk got the job. I read somewhere that he's on Huw's list of possibles.
Betting is back up. I assume this is for permanent manager... 8/13 Monk 4/1 Jones 8/1 Hoddle 33/1 Southgate So looks like Monk is expected to be made permanent manager. UPDATE: I just read... Must be a permanent appointment. 10 matches in charge will be deemed permanent.
Well the mid week games to the North east will be interesting then , it a long way when you have to drive
I think Monk should be given a chance to see if he cut the mustard . If he can't Bergkamp would be great . 3 reasons , 1-he knows his football - 2 he's got connections -3 he is a very , very shrewd man with money , he turned his football related money into a financial dynasty
They probably saw his photo-shopped picture from outside Rossi's 2 years ago and run a story with it, he was 1/6 to replace Brendan Rodgers on the back of that.
I always liked Bielsas teams. I saw Chile and Bilbao on the telly. It's a very direct, but still passing and technical style. I would believe that Bielsa himself might be a mouthfull. He has almost as many stories to him as Zlatan Ibrahimovic. If people here had a problem with Laudrups ego - they're going to drop dead over Bielsa. But it's certainly entertaining/attractive football:
There's been nothing to suggest there was any problem with his ego not even in sensationalist tabloid reports. If anything he didn't seem to have enough of an ego, Tony Pulis is egotistical and as a player he achieved nothing!
