I didn't realise he was diagnosed last year with Alzheimers and Vascular Dementia. Denis is a real character and one of the finest players I have ever seen. Those 6th round cup matches in 1964.....us oldies will consider it a privelege to have seen him play.....he has a permanent place in my memory, and I wish him well.
years ago when Saint and greaves show was on they used to do shop opening etc anyhow greaves couldn't make it the day they came to where I worked Denis law came instead lovely fella I remember
Very sad news, he wasn’t only a fantastic player but is an amazing character as well. Many years ago he used to go in a pub I went to on occasions and he would happily speak to anyone, mostly I think so wouldn’t have to put his hand in his pocket. Lol. The only player to successfully cross the divide in Manchester and I wish him all the very best.
Lawman is a cracking bloke. Had the pleasure of meeting him quite a few times when I worked in Portugal. He was very good friends with a bloke I drank with over there. Just a really genuine down to earth guy. This is really sad news.
I missed this too. Awful thing that. A tremendous character really and an absolute firecracker of a player.
