I felt quite sorry for you guys at the tail end of this window. Berbs aside (who was a snip), you got a bit cleaned out. I think we need dembele and Dempsey though, we're behind you in the table and also looked rubbish.
I was surprised you came in for Dempsey. He is a quality player who will do a good job for you guys and no doubt get a decent amount of goals too. Thought he was Liverpool bound. For £6M he is a great signing. Dembele though has the potential to be truly world class. For £15 he is a great signing for you guys. I’m surprised more clubs didn’t come in for him. I can see him at Madrid or Barcelona in a few years… And knowing Mr Levey he will get a sh1t load of money for him too. See he scored today too. I was really pleased with getting Berbatov, the problem we have you we’ve lost our best creative midfielders so I’m not sure he is going to get the service.
Dembele did look good today in the 45 mins he got. I too feel slightly guilty about the way your team got stripped in the transfer window, I like MJ and I hope it doesn't screw up your season too much.
this Quite like Fulham - great club, great fans and great manager Dembele is going to be a massive player for us and even more important now we didn't land moutinho. He can sit deep and drive forward with the ball and seems to have a great awareness of the players around him. He made a huge difference in the second half and he will be a regular starter alongside Parker or Sandro. Dempsey was an absolute steal for 6m and I am hoping he can replicate the form he showed last year
I think that you'll be fine TMHAF, but your new players will just need a little time to gel. A bit like us, really. Berbatov, Petric and Rodallega are all good strikers and once Jol's worked out how to fill Murphy's boots, they'll start to show their quality. You won't be playing on West Ham's potato patch every week, either.
